MAC Recycling believes doing good for the planet starts right here in our own back yard. We not only provide a safe, convenient and efficient way to help our community recycle used clothes, we also contribute in other ways as well.
We’re a financial supporter, contributing regularly to D.A.R.E. America, the highly acclaimed national program that gives kids the skills they need to avoid involvement in drugs, gangs and violence. What’s more, MAC is proud to have been awarded the Governor’s Certificate of Merit for Crime Prevention for activities that help prevent and control crime in our home state of Maryland.
We also help worthy organizations like community schools run successful used clothing drives which raise much needed funds for their many activities.
As a local employer, we contribute to our economy and provide safe working conditions and opportunities for advancement to those who may not be able to find employment elsewhere. Every day and in every way we are finding ways to conduct our business as a good neighbor and good citizen of our nation and our local community.
In the greater community of the world, we are helping provide usable, clean clothing to those less fortunate in countries around the globe.
Our EnvironmentAt MAC Recycling, we treat the planet like it was our own. Respecting it and the environment in every way we can. As a business, we are working to reduce our own carbon footprint and impact by monitoring our consumption, using environmentally friendly products and reducing, reusing and recycling everything we can. We’re a part of a growing movement focused at removing billions of tons of solid waste from our nation’s landfills. By making recycling services and information readily and conveniently available to our community, we are helping everyone recycle and that’s good for everyone.
“Drug abuse, addiction and violence affect us all directly or indirectly. The far-reaching effect of this problem threatens the mental and physical health of our young people and families which directly threatens our entire society. In our effort to turn around the young people who are making bad decisions without turning to the general public to fund the effort, D.A.R.E. America developed ‘New’ innovative fundraising programs/partnerships designed to help local community-based D.A.R.E. programs raise money.
Mid-Atlantic Clothing Recycling Program (MAC) is one of these new partners. Items recycled by MAC helps with the purchase of workbooks, tee shirts and other items for the D.A.R.E. programs across South Carolina. This is a perfect example of law enforcement, schools, businesses, and citizens working as a team to help save our CHILDREN. Thank you Mid-Atlantic Clothing Recycling Program (MAC) for joining hands with D.A.R.E. securing the safety and health of future generations by supporting national and local D.A.R.E. programs.”
